An Air Force C-17 Globemaster cargo jet will be using the Wheeler Army Airfield during a training exercise on Saturday.

Residents on Wheeler Army Airfield and the surrounding community can expect an increase in noise between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The C-17 will be participating in a deployment preparedness for units in the 25th Combat Aviation Brigade. Soldiers will train on the procedures of folding and loading UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters into the cargo aircraft.

To report concerns related to noise or training, call the U.S. Army Garrison-Hawaii noise concern line at 656-3487.
