Probably the only reason she got arrested is because Chinatown is where probationary HPD officers get stationed right after graduating from the Academy -- they'll arrest a woman for slapping a man just the same as they'll write up the elderly for jaywalking. If this were to happen anywhere else, the woman probably wouldn't have gotten arrested. But men, on the other hand, get arrested regardless...

There is a police station in Chinatown but the officers didn't do anything about a homeless bum sleeping on the sidewalk right in front of the station. That may be legal (or not) but it certainly doesn't show HPD in a good light.

Some rookie cop in training needs to get his head on straight. Why did she slap him. Bet it was for a good reason. Prosecutor should drop all charges.
