A 33-year-old man was seriously injured in an apparent shooting in Kalihi on Sunday.

The incident happened around 8:09 a.m. at the Banyan Street Manor public housing complex.

Paramedics transported the man in serious but stable condition to a local trauma center.

Police arrested a 20-year-old Wahiawa man at the same housing complex on suspicion of first-degree robbery, promoting a dangerous drug and an outstanding warrant about an hour later. It is not yet known if the two incidents are connected.

Banyan St. is more Liliha-ish or Palama-ish than Kalihi. Don't push it all into Kalihi.

Yeah, nobody gets the small neighborhoods straight any more. Let's see again, where does Mo`ili`ili turn into McCully and when does McCully turn into Pawaa? And where do they turn into Makiki or Manoa? Malama our little neighborhoods!
