Police seeking witnesses to hit-and-run in Aiea

Police are seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run in Aiea that left a man in critical condition.

The man tried to cross Kamehameha Highway at Hekaha Street when he was hit by an unknown driver about 12:24 a.m. Saturday, police said. The driver did not stop. The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police said the vehicle is possibly a Ford Ranger or Explorer, in the model years of 1993 through 1995. Police believe the vehicle has damage to the right front headlight.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME from a cell phone.
