Homeless man arrested in cane attack on woman

A 43-year-old homeless man was arrested Monday after he allegedly attacked another homeless person with a metal cane at Thomas Square.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault after he alleged struck the 59-year-old woman with the cane around 9 a.m. at the public park that is located a block away from the main police station.

Officers arrested the suspect Monday night.
