By Star-Advertiser staff

LAST UPDATED: 04:57 p.m. HST, Mar 18, 2014

Although the swell is apparently subsiding, a high surf advisory remains in effect for the east-facing shores of all islands.

Officials at the National Weather Service forecast surf of 6 to 10 feet along east-facing shores through 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Beachgoers are advised to heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and to exercise caution when entering the water.
