Delilah Williams demonstrated for a U.S. District Court jury Wednesday morning how she stomped on her 5-year-old stepdaughter just 17 days before the girl was beaten to death.

Williams, 30, said it was her husband, former Schofield Barracks soldier Naeem Williams, who later delivered the fatal blow and is testifying as a government witness in her husband's capital murder trial.

Naeem Williams, 34, is facing the death penalty for the July 16, 2005 child abuse beating death of his daughter Talia. The Honolulu Medical Examiner said Talia died as a result of head trauma due to battered-child syndrome.

At the request of one of her husband's defense lawyers, Delilah got out of the witness box and stepped in front of the jurors to demonstrate how she stomped on the girl on June 29, 2005. She had earlier testified that that was the most severe beating she had inflicted on Talia.

Delilah said she used "force to stomp down" on Talia and even held her foot down. She demonstrated that by moving her right foot up and down and said she stomped down "eight or so" times.

She said she was not wearing shoes and, at the time, weighed "a little over 200" pounds.

Delilah had earlier testified that she stopped stomping after she felt what she believed was bone cracking under her foot. She then put Talia on the toilet and pushed on her stepdaughter's stomach.

When Talia resisted she said she pushed harder causing the toilet to break. The stepmother then pulled the child up by the hair and slammed the girl's head against the wall.

She testified Tuesday that Talia's head left a dent in the wall as well as some hair.
