Suspect caught in Waialae business after alarm goes off

An alarm helped police catch a burglary suspect in the Waialae area.

Police said an officer heard the alarm and went to check on a business at 3:55 a.m. Sunday.

The officer found a 33-year-old man inside the business and arrested the suspect on suspicion of burglary.

Additionally, most of these criminals also have drug issues and given their inability to work they have no alternative but to commit crimes. A compounding factor is the growing lack of funds to keep them in prison so repeat offenders are let out to commit more crimes.
