The 31-year-old man suspected of stabbing a homeless man to death in Kailua in January has been extradited to Honolulu from California.

Robert Roediger-Geauque is accused of killing 37-year-old Scott MacMillan on Jan. 13.

Police in Santa Barbara, Calif., received a tip that Roediger-Geauque was in their jurisdiction on March 1. After conferring with Honolulu police, they located and arrested Roediger-Geauque on March 6.

Roediger-Geauque was returned to Honolulu on Friday and is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder. His bail has been set at $5 million.
