Police: Man arrested after pointing gun at officer

Police arrested a 35-year-old homeless man Monday night near the Kailua Shopping Center after he allegedly pointed a handgun at a police officer.

Police said the officer was investigating a report of  suspicious activity at the shopping center on Kailua road at 10;55 p.m.

KHON reports the suspect tried to shoot an officer with an airsoft gun.

Officers arrested him on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.
