LAST UPDATED: 07:59 a.m. HST, Apr 08, 2014

Honolulu Police are asking the public's help in identifying a man who attempted to rob the Foodland store in Kaneohe and fled on a skateboard.

Police released surveillance video and images of the suspect in the robbery attempt that happened at 2;06 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police said the man approached the customer service counter, brandished a weapon, demanded money and then fled on the skateboard.

The images show the suspect with a mask covering the lower part of his face. He was wearing a protective helmet, black long-sleeve shirt, white pants and black shoes and carrying a skateboard and black backpack.
