A 32-year-old Kapolei man was charged with allegedly choking and detaining his girlfriend at his home during an argument this week.

Police said the incident occurred at 10:20 p.m. Sunday.

James B. Dooley was arguing with his 28-year-old girlfriend when the argument escalated and the suspect allegedly threatened and choked the victim. Police said the suspect refused to allow the woman leave his home.

Dooley was arrested Monday and charged a day later with second-degree terroristic threatening, abuse and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. His bail was set at $4,000.

Dear 28 year old girlfriend: Please use your brains and realize that all the "I'm sorry I'll never do it again" echoes will not mean a thing as HE WILL do it again. Real men DON'T hit or physically assault women. LEAVE HIM.

Masami's point is: Real men dont hit or physically assault women. Whether it was his or her fault, REAL MEN dont do that.
