Suspect in Kailua murder in court for unrelated sex charge

A man accused of fatally stabbing a homeless man in Kailua is also scheduled for trial next week for allegedly exposing himself to a woman last year.

Robert Roediger-Geauque, 31, who has no local address, is expected to enter a plea in Circuit Court on April 14 for the alleged murder of Scott MacMillian in a building on Uluniu Street near Cinnamon's Restaurant in Kailua on Jan. 13.

He was extradited to Hawaii Saturday after his arrest in Santa Barbara on March 6.

He made his initial District Court appearance Monday, where his murder case was referred to Circuit Court.

Roediger-Geauque is also scheduled to appear in Kaneohe District Court on a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree sexual assault at 8:30  a.m.  April 17 in Kaneohe District Court.

Court documents show that the incident occurred July 24. Roediger-Geauque entered a plea of not guilty Wednesday to the sex assault charge.

He remains in custody at the Oahu Community Correctional Center, unable to post $5 million bond on the murder charge.

Roediger-Geauque's criminal record include convictions on Maui for two petty misdemeanors for disorderly conduct and  prohibited operation of car and one misdemeanor conviction for driving while his license was suspended.
