Coast Guard searches for man overboard northeast of Oahu

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a man who fell overboard from a container ship about 805 miles northeast of Oahu on Monday.

The 23-year-old Japanese national was last seen about 7 p.m. Sunday.

An HC-130 Hercules airplane crew was dispatched to the site. The container ship, Hercules Highway, has changed course and is also searching for the missing crewman.

The motor vessels St. Andrews, Anne Gret and UACC Masafi are also aiding in the search.
