Kaimuki woman charged with stealing money from employer

Prosecutors on Tuesday charged a 53-year-old Kaimuki woman who allegedly stole money from her employer.

Marion Freitas was charged with second-degree theft Tuesday.

Police arrested Freitas Monday after money was reported missing from the Kaimuki business she works at.

Police said the theft occurred between 4:50 a.m. and 4:52 a.m. Monday.

Freitas’ bail was set at $20,000.
