    A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck off the Solomon Islands Thursday evening, but did not trigger any tsunami warnings.

No tsunami warnings were generated after a strong earthquake struck off the Solomon Islands Thursday evening.

The 6.0-magnitude quake was recorded at 6:13 p.m. Hawaii time 76 miles west-southwest of Lata, Solomon Islands at a depth of 6.2 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

No injuries were immediately reported.
