Hawaii’s Carissa Moore wins Rip Curl surfing final

    Carissa Moore of Hawaii won the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach in Australia Wednesday for the second consecutive year, defeating Tyler Wright in the final.

Hawaii’s Carissa Moore repeated as champion of the Rip Curl Women’s Pro Bells Beach on Wednesday in Australia.

Moore edged Tyler Wright of Australia 16.23 to 15.77 in the final of the ASP Women’s World Championship Tour contest.

It was Moore’s second straight tour victory. The defending world champion also won the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro earlier this month in Australia.

After the first three events on the tour, Moore leads the ratings ahead of Wright and Stephanie Gilmore.
