A traffic collision involving a moped on the North Shore led to the arrest Wednesday of a 43-year-old Palolo man on suspicion of motor vehicle theft and other charges.

Officers confirmed the moped was stolen and arrested the man 10:55 a.m. Wednesday on suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.

While investigating the crash, the man produced a credit card in someone else’s name, so police arrested him on suspicion of unauthorized possession of confidential personal information, and two contempt of court bench warrants.
