1 man escapes, 1 arrested in game room robbery attempt

Police arrested one man and were searching for another man who allegedly tried to stick up a Ward Avenue gaming room early Thursday morning.

Police said two suspects walked into the Winner's Zone on Ward Avenue at 1:56 a.m.

Witnesses told police that one of the suspects was armed.

Security guards detained one of the men, but the second suspect got away.

Police arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of first-degree attempted robbery and kidnapping.

The other suspect was described as about 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds.
