Man arrested for alleged assault on police officer

A 21-year-old Waianae man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly assaulting a police officer, who was investigating a protective order.

The police report said the arrest occurred at 6:22 p.m. at a Leeward Oahu business.

Police did not release the extent of the officer's injuries.

Officers also arrested the suspect on suspicion of resisting arrest.
