By Star-Advertiser staff

Military police officers detained a 33-year-old Waikiki man Thursday night after he allegedly hit a parked motorcycle with his car in the Navy Exchange parking lot and then got of his car and continued to damage the bike.

A Honolulu Police report said a 31-year-old man was sitting on his motorcycle in the Navy Exchange's parking lot on Bougainville Drive  at about 8 p.m. when the suspect allegedly hit the motorcycle with his car.

The suspect was turned over to Honolulu police officers and arrested on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and criminal property damage.

People fail to realize the NEX is federal property. Crimes could be prosecuted in federal court not locally. Remember the baboozes who broke into cars at the Arizona memorial parking lot, got busted, were shocked to see they were going to federal court and prison.
