Kapolei man arrested for attempted murder

A 24-year-old Kapolei man is in police custody for attempted murder after he allegedly shot a man multiple times Saturday evening, Honolulu police said.

The victim, a 23-year-old man, suffered gunshot wounds to his chest and arms, according to police records. A friend took the man to the hospital, where he was admitted in serious condition, police said.

The incident occurred in Kapolei around 4 p.m. 

Police arrested the suspect on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder hours later at the Kapolei police station around 11:40 p.m., according to police records.
