The Highlands Inter Robotics team from Pearl City Highlands Intermediate School has won the award for having the most well-rounded VEX Robotics program in its grade-level division.

Awards also were presented to other schools around the U.S. and world in various divisions at the VEX Robotics World Championship over the weekend.

Awards presented at the Anaheim Convention Center included direct competition-level awards, alliance awards, and more, but organizers of 2014 VEX Robotics World Championship describe the award won by Pearl Highlands as the competition’s highest honor.

The competition concluded over the weekend and included more than 10,000 robotics teams from more than 33 countries.
