Residents in a Kahului neighborhood were evacuated for about three hours Wednesday afternoon after federal officials and their dog unit checked out a report of unexploded ordnance being involved in a terroristic threatening case on Molokai Hema Street.

A person called police at 3:34 p.m. about the threat.

Transportation Security Administration officials responded with their bomb dogs, which could not find explosives.

Investigation revealed no direct threat was made between the male and the caller, and neighboring streets were open at 6:20 p.m.

No arrest was made.
