Police looking for suspect who burglarized Kailua business

Honolulu police are searching for someone who broke into a Kailua area business and stole cash from a safe sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning, according to police records. 

A man called police around 2:37 a.m. Saturday to report that his business and a safe, with an undisclosed amount of money, had been broken into, police said.

If someone got into the safe then it was probably an inside job. Reported at 2:37 am makes it sounds suspicious since what was the owner doing there at that time.

The owner was likely called by the alarm company and went to the business to find the safe open and raided. It's doubtful he was there as his business was being burglarized.
