2 arrested for alleged home invasion robbery

A man and a woman are in police custody after allegedly charging into a house armed with bats in a home invasion robbery Saturday morning in McCully.

Police said about 1 a.m. the man, 35, and the woman, 25, entered the residence with bats and demanded property.

Seven people inside, ages 23 to 30, detained the pair until police arrived.

Officers arrested the man, who did not give police an address, and the woman, of 9th Avenue, for investigation of first-degree robbery and kidnapping.

The pair was arrested in the 2000 block of Date Street.
