California ice cream man accused of dealing drugs

BRENTWOOD, Calif. >> Authorities say a man selling ice cream at a Northern California gas station was arrested after authorities said he was also offering methamphetamine for sale.

KPIX-TV reports police in Brentwood received a call Wednesday from a resident who told officers the vendor tried to sell drugs from his ice cream truck.

Officers arrested 62-year-old Kelly Brown of Oakley, a seller for Kelly’s Ice Cream, at the Arco station.

Brown has been booked into the Contra Costa County Jail on suspicion of methamphetamine possession.

Kelly’s Ice Cream did not immediately respond to request for comment.
