Police: 2 men arrested for alleged assaults on officers

Police said two officers were assaulted in separate incidents Friday and Saturday.

Police arrested and charged a 30-year-old man, with no local address, for assaulting a police officer near Pokai Bay in Waianae Saturday afternoon, according to police records.

The incident happened at about 4 p.m. 

The suspect was also arrested for harassment. Bail was set at $25,000.

In another incident, police said a 47-year-old man assaulted an officer who responded to the scene of an argument in Wahiawa at about 10:40 p.m. Friday night.

The suspect was released, pending further investigation, early Saturday morning.

Making it too easy for the thugs. Just keep them overnight if its legal and the bother is worth it. Make it uncomfortable and they will not want to go through the hassle and hopefully behave better.
