A 23-year-old Waianae man used surveillance footage to find out who stole his moped May 22, which led to the theft suspect being arrested and charged.

It turned out to be an acquaintance, police said.

The 18-year-old acquaintance allegedly stole the Waianae man’s moped in front of his home between 12:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. May 22.

On Sunday, officers arrested Jessten Anduha-Curlee on suspicion of second-degree theft.

He was charged with second-degree theft Tuesday. His bail was set at $11,000.
