Kaaawa man charged after allegedly firing gunshots into air

A 30-year-old Kaaawa man was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment after police said he fired shots from a gun into the air on Tuesday night.

According to police, Christopher Peterson fired three rounds in a Kaaawa residential area between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. In addition to reckless endangerment, the suspect was also charged with first-degree terroristic threatening and two firearms violations.

His bail was set at $25,000.
