Hawaii firefighters rescued two teenage boys who got separated from their parents while hiking the Mauna Loa summit Sunday morning.

The teens got lost Saturday at 6:10 p.m., the Hawaii County Fire Department said.

Firefighters responded at 5:45 a.m. Sunday with two ground teams and a chopper.

The ground team found the boys and took them back to the parking lot where they were reunited with their parents, officials said.
