Woman charged with Waikiki burglary

A 28-year-old homeless woman was charged with breaking into a Waikiki apartment Monday night.

Tawny Lynn Hutchings was charged with first-degree burglary and drug violations. Bail was set at $11,000.

Police said a suspect was caught after she entered the apartment without permission and allegedly took items belonging to a 59-year-old woman. The incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m.
