Alleged assault on taxi driver leads to arrest

Police arrested a 23-year-old man Friday after he allegedly struck a taxi driver.

According to police, the suspect punched the driver after accusing him of taking a longer route than necessary to reach his destination.

The incident allegedly occurred around 12:20 a.m. near Chinatown.

The suspect, whose address is unknown, was arrested on suspicion of interfering with a public transportation vehicle.
