The state’s Unemployment Insurance and Workforce Development offices at the Kaneohe Atrium Building on Kawa Street will close Wednesday, June 25.

The state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations says claimaints can continue to file unemployment claims online, and that an Unemployment Claim Hot Line connection for Windward residents will be available at the Kaneohe Public Library during normal business hours.

The hot line will provide users with claim information only.

Unemployment Insurance offices in Waipahu and Honolulu, and Oahu WorkLinks America Job Centers in Honolulu, Waipahu and Waianae will remain open.

The offices in Kaneohe are to close because of a reduction in federal funding, according to a DLIR spokesman. The offices’ handful of employees will be reassigned to offices in Honolulu.
