A 39-year-old Kaneohe man turned himself in to police on Tuesday and was arrested for allegedly stealing a backpack and threatening two people with a gun on the Old Pali Highway.

Police said the suspected entered a parked car on the highway on June 3 and allegedly stole a backpack. The two occupants of the car ran after the suspect, but stopped when he allegedly pointed a gun at them. The suspect then fled in his car, police said.

He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery.

If everybody was packing guns the victims could have merely gunned him down. More guns=less crime= less violence. Makes perfect sense.
