Police arrested a 36-year-old Waianae man for allegedly trying to rob two men in a Makaha parking lot.

Police said the suspect pointed a gun at the two men around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. When the men refused to give the suspect money, he fled.

Officers arrested him 45 minutes later near a 7-Eleven convenience store on Farrington Highway on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
