Island Air has expanded its summer schedule by adding six one-way flights between Honolulu and Kahului and two additional one-way flights between Honolulu and Lihue.

The extended summer schedule will run through Auy. 17.

“With fares as low as $65, we’re seeing an increase in customers,” Island Air Chief Executive Officer Paul Casey said.

Island Air, which uses 64-seat ATR-72 turboprop aircraft, will now offer 22 one-way flights between Honolulu and Kahului and 14 one-way flights between Honolulu and Lihue.

The small regional carrier also offers service between Honolulu and Lanai, and between Lihue and Kahului.
