4 hurt in head-on collision near Dole Plantation

Four people were injured Sunday evening in a head-on collision between a Jeep and a sedan on Kamehameha Highway near Dole Plantation.

The collision occurred just before 7 p.m.

A 43-year-old male driver and a 12-year-old female passenger were transported in serious condition to a local trauma center.

A female driver of unknown age and a 17-year-old male passenger were also taken to a local trauma center in stable condition.

Police closed Kamehameha Highway in both directions from Dole Plantation to Paalaa Uka Pupukea Road for more than an hour following the crash..
