Police on Wednesday arrested a 33-year-old Wahiawa man who allegedly choked and struck a 37-year-old woman Tuesday at a Wahiawa home.
The woman told police that a family/household member restricted her breathing and hit her about 11 p.m. Tuesday, causing substantial bodily injury, police said.
Police found and arrested the man on suspicion of second-degree assault and felony abuse.
The case is pending further investigation.
