Man arrested for threatening police officers with weapon

A 47-year-old man was arrested Friday afternoon for threatening a police officer with a weapon, according to police reports.

An officer was on routine patrol near the Ala Wai Boat Harbor and saw the man in the roadway during traffic.  When the officer confronted the man, he threatened the officer and arriving officers with a weapon, according to police. He was arrested at the scene at 2:50 p.m.

The man has no local address, police said.

He was released pending investigation.
