Jerome Williams signs minor league contract

Waipahu's Jerome Willimas signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers Friday and will pitch for their Triple-A Round Rock Express team in Texas.

The right-handed pitcher, released by Houston in June, was 1-4 with a 6.04 ERA in 26 appearances for the Astros.
