By Star-Advertiser staff

POSTED:

A 20-year-old woman awoke Saturday morning to find her ex-boyfriend attempting to enter her bedroom window, police said.

The 21-year-old Waianae man fled when the window shattered at about 4 a.m. and patrol officers arrested the suspect at about 7:20 a.m. on suspicion of first-degree burglary, violating a restraining order and contempt warrants.

Police said the suspect had recently been served with a protective order.

The TRO is a joke in Hawaii. We have seen too many with TRO issued only to see the victims get hurt or killed by the perpetrators. Besides providing a piece of paper to the ones seeking TRO against someone, they should be taught how to shoot a gun or instructions on how to sue a tazer gun in the event that the perpetrator shows up unannounced.

Our "justice" system encourages TRO violators. They very rarely get jail time, unless it's the 5th or 6th violation. Keith Kaneshiro too busy chasing down Chuck E Cheese machines for gambling. Better headlines!
