Woman arrested for alleged assault on officer at Walmart

A 54-year-old homeless woman allegedly assaulted a police officer, who had stopped her for shoplifting at the Keeaumoku Walmart store on Tuesday.

Police said the incident occurred just after 6 p.m. and the suspect was searched, following her arrest on suspicion of fourth-degree theft. She is also being held for allegedly assaulting a law enforcement officer.
