Honolulu police arrested a 44-year-old Moiliili man who allegedly forced a 28-year-old woman into his car and assaulted her Friday afternoon.
The woman said the man abducted her at about noon in Makiki and assaulted her while they were driving around. The man allegedly hit the phone out of her hand when she tried to call 911.
He dropped the woman off in Makiki and she called police, who arrested the suspect at about 4:20 p.m. Friday in Maikiki on suspicion of kidnapping, abuse of a family member and interference with reporting a 911 emergency.
Police said the woman suffered minor injuries.
