The Kamalu Road culvert project in Wailua will resume on Tuesday, Kauai County Public Works Department officials said.

The agency advised motorists one lane closures will be made on an as-needed basis to allow the contractor to complete the remaining work.  The project, which began in June, is expected to be completed at the end of this month.

The work includes the removal of the existing metal culvert, installation of two 24-inch high density polyethylene pipes and guardrails and construction of concrete retaining walls.

Anyone with questions can call Earthworks Pacific, Inc. at 246-8808 or Samy Venkatesen with the Department of Public Works at 241-4885.
