Police charge Moiliili man in triple stabbing

Honolulu prosecutors Tuesday charged a 39-year-old Moiliili man with stabbing three people during a fight early Sunday night.

Michael Ford was charged with three counts of second-degree attempted murder and one count of first-degree attempted murder. His bail was set at $250,000.

A 25-year-old man was taken to the hospital Sunday in critical condition, along with another man and a woman, both 26, who were in serious condition.

The alleged stabbings happened during a fight near the intersection of Beretania and Griffiths streets at 1:12 a.m. Sunday, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.

The suspect was arrested seven hours later on South Beretania Street near where the fight occurred police said.
