  • Las Vegas police say former UFC fighter Johathan Koppenhaver

LAS VEGAS >> Mixed martial arts fighter War Machine has been extradited to Las Vegas to face charges he brutally beat his porn star ex-girlfriend.

The man born Jonathan Koppenhaver was booked early Saturday morning into the Clark County jail after waiving extradition in a Ventura County, California, courtroom following his arrest.

The 32-year-old Koppenhaver is accused of beating Christy Mack and her male friend at her Las Vegas home on Aug. 8 before fleeing to the Los Angeles suburb of Simi Valley, where he was arrested a week later.

A Las Vegas police spokesman says Koppenhaver wasn’t currently available for jailhouse interviews, and it wasn’t immediately clear whether he had an attorney.

Koppenhaver legally changed his name to War Machine in recent years, but police refer to him by his birth name.
