The Hawaii soccer team yielded two first-half goals and wasn’t able to respond in a 2-0 loss at Cal Poly on Sunday in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

UH (6-8, 1-3 Big West) was swept on its two-game conference road trip to UC Santa Barbara and Poly.

Mustangs forward Megan Abutin scored on a corner kick in the 12th minute and league scoring leader Elise Krieghoff found the net less than 10 minutes later.

It was only the second time UH was shut out this season. The other instance came against top-ranked UCLA in nonconference play.

The Rainbow Wahine fell to 0-5 in five all-time meetings with Cal Poly.

UH resumes play at home against Long Beach State on Thursday.
