A pedestrian who was struck by a car Wednesday morning in Ewa Beach has died on Saturday, the Honolulu Police Department said.

The Ewa Beach man was struck by a car traveling south on Fort Weaver Road near Laulaunui St. around 5:50 a.m.

The car was driven by a woman with an Ewa Beach address.

Police said he was not in a marked crosswalk.

The man was taken in good condition to the hospital, but his condition worsened and he died Saturday, police said.

It is unknown if speed or alcohol were factors in the collision.

This is the 51st traffic fatality this year compared to 46 at the same time in 2013.
