The Medical Examiner’s office has identified the 95-year-old Ewa Beach man who died Saturday after he was hit by a car earlier in the week as Ali Sabbaghi.

An autopsy will be conducted Monday to determine cause of death.

Police said the victim was not in marked crosswalk on Fort Weaver Road when he was hit by a car traveling south near Laulauniu street at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday.

He was taken in good condition to the hospital, but his condition worsened and he died Saturday, police said.

This was Oahu’s 51st traffic fatality this year compared to 46 at the same time in 2013.
